Our story
In 2015, Kevin Boutin, the new CEO of Mathias Marine Sports, launched a motorsports division. Faced with an inadequate software ecosystem for his online growth ambitions, he and Dave Renouf began developing a custom tool. Their fruitful collaboration led to a powerful inventory display system. To manage the influx of prospects, they created a lead management tool that significantly improved the conversion rate.
Noticing interdepartmental communication issues related to sales volume, they designed a workflow manager. Within two years, Mathias Marine Sports reached 2,000 vehicles sold, generating interest from the industry. In 2017, Groupe Contant acquired the tool, prompting Kevin and Dave to found Traction DK Inc. Since then, the team and the number of branches using Traction have exploded, integrating with multiple DMS systems. Traction is today the Quebec benchmark for dealership operations management.
