Accessibility Plan 2024 to 2027

  1. Introduction 
    This Accessibility Plan aims to demonstrate the commitment of Traction DK inc. (hereinafter “ Traction DK » or « We ) towards accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities and all the people we serve. It is developed in compliance with the requirements stipulated by the Accessible Canada Act (LCA) and its associated regulations.
     

  2. Definitions:

    For the purposes of this policy, the following definitions apply:

    •  “Obstacle” means any element — in particular that which is of a physical or architectural nature, which relates to information, communications, behavior or technology or which is the result of a policy or practice — which harms the full and equal participation in society of people with disabilities including physical, intellectual, cognitive, mental or sensory disabilities, learning or communication disabilities or functional limitations.

    • ​“WCAG” means the most recent version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, available in English and French.
       

  3. ​Policies, Programs, Practices and Services

    1. Information and communications technologies.

      This section covers all Traction DK technological solutions which allow internal and external users, customers and employees, to communicate and access sources of information. We are committed to eliminating existing Barriers and preventing new ones in our information and communication technologies by adopting inclusive practices. Notably :

      • Establishment of strategic directions in terms of digital accessibility.

      • Regularly updating our websites and mobile applications to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

      • Training our staff on the importance of digital accessibility.

      • Discussion with the integrators of our technology to find out how they will make our services accessible to people with disabilities.

      • The majority of tools used by Traction DK are accessible remotely allowing employees to carry out work at their place of residence
         

    2. Procurement of goods, services and facilities :

      This section covers all Traction DK procurement activities, including the determination of the goods or services required, the selection of suppliers and the awarding of the contract. We will ensure that new purchases and contracts for goods and services meet accessibility criteria, integrating this concern into our procurement decision-making process.  Notably :

      • ​We will include accessibility issues in IT development projects with subcontractors;

      • Where applicable, we will include standards related to accessibility and the elimination of Obstacles in our contracts with suppliers.
         

    3. Design and delivery of programs and services :

      This section covers all products and services offered by Traction DK. Our programs and services will be designed and offered to be accessible to all, taking into account the specific needs of people with disabilities from the design phase. Furthermore, we wish to deepen our knowledge with regard to the Obstacles encountered by people with disabilities.  In terms of measurements:

      • ​We will ensure that improvements and modifications made to our platform take accessibility issues into account;

      • We will ensure that the staff responsible for developing the platform or the subcontractors engaged in this regard are made aware of accessibility issues.
         

    4. ​Other communications:

      In addition to the measures taken for information technology, we deploy the following means to communicate what arises from points b. etc. which precede:

      • All of our user policies and contracts are written in simple and clear language;

      • Before the end of 2025, we will offer training to our staff on simple and clear language;
         

    5. ​Recruitment and employment : This section covers the procedures for recruiting and hiring staff, as well as their working conditions:

      • We review recruitment policies and procedures to ensure that reasonable accommodation measures are made available to candidates during the recruitment process, when requested.

      • We ensure that information that is generally available in the workplace, as well as information that employees need to do their jobs, is available on request in suitable formats.

      • We will include a reference to this Accessibility Plan in our job offers to demonstrate our commitment to a healthy and disability-friendly work environment.

      • We will provide hiring managers with disability awareness training to help them understand how to ensure barrier-free hiring, selection and accommodation processes.
         

  4. ​​Consultation of Disabled People

    In developing this Plan, we consulted documentation provided by organizations representing people with disabilities.

    A feedback policy has been adopted and is available on our website allowing anyone to submit comments on the accessibility of our services.
     

  5. Principles of Article 6 of the ACL

    Our business practices and this Accessibility Plan take into account the following principles:​

    • Dignity : We ensure that all people are treated with respect and dignity in all our interactions.

    • Equal opportunities : We promote equal opportunities for development to allow everyone to realize their full potential within our company and in connection with our services. We advocate a principle of zero tolerance towards discrimination.  

    • Access and participation : We aim for barrier-free access and full participation of everyone in our society.

    • Autonomy : We respect everyone's right to make decisions about their life, with or without assistance, regardless of disability.

    • Taking into account disabilities : Our services are designed taking into account the specific needs of people with disabilities.

    • Participation of people with disabilities : We actively involve people with disabilities in the development and evaluation of our policies and services. Notably

    • Accessibility standards : We are committed to achieving and maintaining the highest possible level of accessibility in all our areas of activity.
       

  6. ​Diffusion et Communication

    In accordance with the requirements, this Plan is written in simple and clear language, and is accessible on the home page of our main website in a format compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Do not hesitate to contact us directly for additional information or to obtain it in another format.
     

  7. Notification au CRTC

    Once this Plan is published, we will notify the CRTC of its availability and the measures taken to promote accessibility within our organization.
     

  8. Conclusion

    Traction DK is committed to promoting inclusion and removing barriers for people with disabilities. This Accessibility Plan is a living document that will be reviewed and updated regularly to reflect our ongoing commitment to accessibility for all.
